On average people spend about seven hours a day on t he internet and trends predict it to only rise. In a world where the metaverse will replace in-person activities, the psychological cost of these shifts are far and wide. Many experts are now calling it the “The Inner Pandemic”.
We are always so busy and on the go. So connected to the outside world but so disconnected from the world within ourselves. Society feeds us timelines and “fake promises”. Once you get that job, promotion, move to that place then everything will fall into place. Social media is no respite with everyone only using it to promote an idealistic version of themselves and their lives. This only builds immense anxiety and pressure.
It takes a lot to “not do anything” and “stay still”. What most of us don’t realize is that the space we create for ourselves to just be and tune inward, only amplifies our ability to create from a place of balance, joy, and truth.
If you haven’t had the time to pause and feel rushed back to life after the pandemic; as if nothing changed in the past two years but you know everything has, this space is for you. Through our weekly newsletter, our goal is to create a sacred destination where you can take a moment and check-in with yourself in less than 5 minutes.
Take a minute to pause
Unplug Prompt: Find a private space in your home or room. Using a timer on your phone or laptop, set a timer for 3-5 minutes. Then take a moment to either write, meditate, or visualize – what can you do today to feel more connected to yourself?
Unplug Resource: You can use this guided mediation by our co-founder and spiritual psychologist: Robert Louis-Charles for additional unplugging whenever you need it.
Please drop in and say hello! We would love to hear your thoughts on how this newsletter can help you unplug. You can also learn more about thiyah here!
